Background & Context
This project brings legal immigration services to under resourced communities. We will be assisting lawful permanent residents apply for citizenship using a workshop model, in which applicants will move from station to station completing various steps in the application process.
Immediate Problem
We want to serve 80 to 100 applicants the day of the event.
Work & Deliverables
Volunteers can choose to assist applicants with N-400s and/or I-912 fee waivers. Volunteers may elect to conduct legal review of completed applications if they are attorneys or DOJ accredited.
Preparation Phase
- Fill out registration form
- Participate in training
- arrive 30-45 minutes prior to start time for brief orientation
Collaboration Phase
- Assist with applications (N-400, I-912)
Wrap Up
- Ensure Program Manager receives all case notes/intakes
