Executive Director

Anna Chu is passionate about her family, social justice, and scuba diving. For more than 17 years, Anna has worked in the legal, policy, political, and advocacy communities, helping confirm fair judges to the federal bench, pushing for economic justice, and protecting civil rights. She strives to raise her daughters to be civically engaged as well and tries to steal off to go scuba diving as often as she can. Anna is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and the University of Southern California Law School and was formerly an associate at Paul Hastings LLP.

Beth France

Senior Advisor, Strategic Initiatives

Beth has been passionate about civic engagement since she was elected to serve as George Washington in her eighth grade class’s constitutional convention. Beth’s past work includes serving as counsel at American Oversight, representing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in congressional investigations, and practicing as an associate at O’Melveny and Myers. Beth is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Yale University.

Drew Larsen

Senior Advisor

Drew Larsen loves Liverpool FC, the Phoenix Suns, and his daughter’s youth soccer team, in some order. He specializes in providing legal, management, and operational advice to start-ups and nonprofits and has been part of the We The Action team since its inception. Previously, Drew was in-house counsel to a professional sports start-up and an associate at Squire Patton Boggs. He is a graduate of U.Va. Law School and Holy Cross as well as a former Jesuit Volunteer.

Katie Waldo

Managing Director

Katie Waldo began volunteering at age five and embraced it as her superpower. She is an active volunteer in Washington, D.C., a city she has called home since moving there in 2008 to work for the Obama administration. An expert in volunteer management, Katie co-founded We The Action in 2017. Before that, she served as White House Trip Manager, traveling the world with President Obama and overseeing logistics for 125 trips, covering more than 350,000 miles on Air Force One. Katie is a graduate of Creighton University, go Jays!

Sara Wilson

Associate Director of Legal Partnerships

Sara Wilson, a lover of life's oddities and an advocate for just causes, has built her career conducting legal work across the nation. Whether practicing public defense in Massachusetts, assisting unaccompanied migrant children in Texas, or leading Voter Protection in Arizona, Wilson is on the front lines of protecting our fundamental rights. The phrase pro bono —for the public good— has been the essence of Wilson's work as an attorney. Wilson is a first-generation graduate of Indiana University - Bloomington and Suffolk University Law School in Boston.

Victoria Gomez

Associate Director of Partnerships

Victoria’s greatest passion is helping people, especially marginalized communities, although karaoke comes in at a close second. Before joining the team, she served as the Aide to Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor at the Supreme Court of the United States.Victoria is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton.
